Danville roots and family foundation
Jasmine was born and raised in Danville, Virginia, where she learned early that strong neighborhoods are built through responsibility, respect, and care for one another. Growing up in a working family, she saw what steady leadership and community support can mean in everyday life—from safe streets to good schools to neighbors showing up for each other.
Those hometown values continue to shape her leadership today. For Jasmine, public service is never abstract. It is about making sure local government works for families who are balancing jobs, childcare, school schedules, and the rising cost of living.
Education and Averett University studies
